Jeff Bezos doesn't let his responsibilities — executive chairman of Amazon, owner of Blue Origin, being a billionaire investor — get in the way of his slow-moving morning routine. This appeared to shock Fridman, who'd just called Bezos "one of the most productive humans in the world." "I'm not as productive as you might think I am," Bezos responded, in an episode first released in December 2023. The morning routine coincides with Bezos' philosophy to embrace wandering, or doing things aimlessly. His time for his morning routine comes from waking up early.

Jeff Bezos doesn't jam-pack his schedule or set strict time blocks for all his meetings. "I don't keep to a strict schedule," Bezos said, in an episode first released in December 2023. "My meetings often go longer than I plan for them to, because I believe in [mind] wandering." "When I sit down [in] a meeting, I don't know how long the meeting is going to take if we're trying to solve a problem," Bezos said. He added that "a lot of people feel like wandering is inefficient," but studies show that a divergent mind can actually boost a person's productivity, creativity and happiness.

There's only one person to blame for the company's shambolic state and only one person whose exit could save Tesla: Elon Musk. Investors want to see a concrete plan for a whole new fleet of Teslas made for a leaner, meaner EV market. The company needs a serious leader with practical ideas — no self-driving gimmicks, no blowtorches, no broken Cybertrucks, no shitposting, no video-game marathons, and no casual ketamine use. AdvertisementA true visionary CEO — which Musk has long claimed to be — would have pressed the advantage that Tesla developed in the EV market. He asserted that Tesla was not a car company but rather an AI robotics company.

Leonardo DiCaprio was in talks to star in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," director Zack Snyder said. If DiCaprio had taken the role, it would have broken his "no superhero movies" rule. AdvertisementLeonardo DiCaprio was one of the actors in talks to play Lex Luthor in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," director Zack Snyder said. He followed it up with "Batman v Superman" in 2015, which pits Batman (Ben Affleck) against Superman (Henry Cavill), while Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) pulls the strings from the shadows and experiments with Kryptonian technology. When it comes to taking risks, Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings has an important rule of thumb. "I try to take a lot of risks on things that are recoverable," Hastings said in a recent conversation on entrepreneur Tim Ferriss' podcast. A two-way door risk is easy to take because it's reversible, so "you can come back in and pick another door," Bezos said. But a one-way door risk probably can't be undone. In 2017, Hastings told CNBC he was actually pushing his content team to "take more risk" in that regard.

The Trump White House experienced a record turnover rate, a Brookings Institution study showed. Billionaire Mark Cuban says that's one reason he won't vote for Donald Trump. Still, those numbers reflect a relatively stable presidency — especially, as Cuban noted, when comparing the turnover rate to Trump's White House. According to the study, that was the highest first-year turnover rate for any presidency in at least four decades. By the end of his administration, the Trump White House saw a 92% turnover rate during his time in office.
